Signed Photobook Giveaway #3:
House of Coates by Brad Zellar and Lester B. Morrison is a portrait of a man, a recluse, and a myth. It’s a document of a soul who has chosen to evade commitment, a social escapee on the fringe of society. His identity is an enigma and the yearning for anonymity and a compulsion to retreat obscures fact and fiction. House of Coates is a touching and intense musing that meanders through loneliness, rejection and isolation. Beautifully designed by Hans Seeger, this title is yet another intriguing and curiously poignant addition to the LBM catalogue.
To enter the draw to win a copy of the 1st edition of House of Coates, signed by Brad Zellar and Alec Soth, go to the main Claxton Projects website.. Here

Signed Photobook Giveaway #2:
Ken Schles’ fourth title, Oculus, is a philosophical exploration of memory and perception, a poetic pilgrimage that thoughtfully weaves its analysis into how images influence and define our understanding of that around us. Like Schles’ previous titles, Oculus is a demanding, personal and beautifully emotive work that not only compels multiple visits, but also leaves lingering questions long after the turn of the last page…

Cara Phillips, Singular Beauty: Inside the World of Cosmetic Surgery.

New York based photographer Cara Phillips has documented the cosmetic surgery industry for four years (2004-2008) and the resulting images are to be published next year in her first book, Singular Beauty. Phillips’ images are stark, yet disturbingly beautiful and she probes her subject with an inquisitive and intelligent eye. Her involvement with the beauty industry began as a child model and in Singular Beauty Phillips subtly reveals the layers of complexity and absurdity, that lie at the heart of the cosmetic surgery industry.

Cara Phillips will be collaborating with Dutch designer Hans Gremmen to produce this elegantly designed title, in an edition of 750. However, this Kickstarter project needs support to be realised. To be part of this wonderful project, go to the Singular Beauty Kickstarter page.. Here

Cara Phillips is interviewed about Singular Beauty by Joerg Colberg on Conscientious: Here
